STRIKEMASTER – OVERVIEW

Big Sky is the first fitness club / company in Canada to bring StrikeMaster to its members. In 2016, it was awarded the hottest new Fitness Trend / piece of equipment in the United States. On Sweat Inc, hosted by Star Trainer – Jillian Michaels and TRX Founder & Inventor (Ex- Navy Seal) Randy Hetrick.

This workout adventure differs greatly from all the other current boxing craze programs popping up, in that StrikeMaster is a combination of Boxing / Kick Boxing and Martial Arts, thus, it provides a FULL BODY WORKOUT – every single time!

STRIKEMASTER – TECHNIQUE

Like all things in life that are true and wonderful, there is quite simply a right way to do things and a wrong way.

At Big Sky Fitness, we are all about doing things the RIGHT way. Everything to do with any kind of fitness pursuit, proper Technique is the foundational base from which all programs should be based.

We understand that everyone has busy lives, they want their workouts to press their physical boundaries and they want to do it quickly. All that can be achieved, and more but the focus of any reputable program must be committed to teaching its members, proper technique.

If there is a program that must be committed to teaching proper technique, anything containing Boxing; Kick-Boxing and Martial Art striking combinations, it is our exclusive StrikeMaster series of classes.

Led by our Head StrikeMaster motivator – Simon Creasey, Boxing / Kick-Boxing/ and 1st degree black expert, all of our motivators are personally trained by Simon and so will you be.

Simon is as committed to teaching proper form, as anyone you will find.

So unless you are a certified professional boxer / kick-boxer, we highly encourage all our members to take a couple (as many as you like) of our StrikeMaster Technique classes and get your bedrock foundation established and enjoy all future classes, knowing the proper way to wrap hands / stand / punch / kick / do combinations.

Here’s the GREAT thing – if you are at home / work reading this mini tome and thinking to yourself “I have always wanted to learn how to punch / kick / do combination striking but feel a little insecure; self-conscious; don’t want to look like a dolt / doltess” KICK THAT THINKING TO THE CURB!!!

This is the class that can launch you on your way to learning the proper way to execute all stance / punch / kick / combinations. Once learned, you will enjoy knowing proper form, reduce the likelihood of injury and that is the RIGHT way to proceed.

The equipment is adaptable for all heights of members and you will love the workout (and results) that it provides. Class sizes are half of normal class, to maximize your instructional focus.

STRIKEMASTER – 101

After you have your technique mastered, progress into our StrikeMaster 101 class. During these 45 minute sessions, we will walk through the studio and show you how all the stations flow, all while doing a complete workout; we will cover everything you need to know.  SM 101 is the perfect class to learn and get comfortable with all the right punches / kicks and combinations – make NO MISTAKE – this is still a workout class, so you will also learn how to pace yourself and maximize your individual workout.

NOTE: Even if you have boxed / kick boxed before, we highly encourage you to take several SM 101 classes, so you can get the feel of the pads, be able to make needed adjustments; workout cueing and most importantly – how to pace yourself!

STRIKEMASTER – ULTIMATE 30 MINUTE WORKOUT!

After you have all the above Mastered, it is time to move onto our Ultimate 30 minute workout!!! StrikeMaster is the creator of the Ultimate 30 minute workout and you will not believe what kind of workout (and post workout calorie burn) that you will achieve – words do it No Justice!!!

What Will You Need?

Show up in your workout gear, indoor shoes and be ready to go. We ask all members to arrive 15 minutes early on your first class (if you have not taken the SM – Technique class), so we can assist with hand wrap instructions; explain the workout; demonstrate any needed modifications. You MUST purchase your own hand wraps and we have rental gloves / or you can purchase your own + gel hand wraps as well.

NO experience is necessary, 95% of StrikeMaster members began with never having taken a boxing / kickboxing class before joining.

STRIKEMASTER TECHNIQUE

Learn the RIGHT way!

SM – Technique will teach you how to wrap your hands / stand / punch / kick and do hundreds of combinations and endless possibilities. Our Head SM Motivator – Simon Creasey is hyper focused on teaching proper technique (and the rest of our motivators), so out of the gate,  you are properly trained on how to minimize injury potential and maximize your class workout and enjoyment.

STRIKEMASTER 101

Kick, Punch & Sweat! Get your heart pumping, Groove to the tunes and compress every muscle group into one workout! Punch out the stress, feel empowered and give us a Big “Buh-Ya”! Sayonara to the cardio machines! Sharpen your boxing and kickboxing movements and tone up in this ever changing group circuit class. Hot new StrikeMaster equipment is new to Canada. Bring a friend for fun and music and have the most fun you can have in 45 minutes with your gloves on. All levels welcome!

STRIKEMASTER ULTIMATE 30

Arrrre Youuu Ready to Striiiike….Master!

StrikeMaster is the creator of the Ultimate 30 minute workout and you will not believe what kind of workout (and post workout calorie burn) that you will achieve – words do it No Justice!

Be ready to “Hit it Hard” in this most awesome of full body workouts!!! Go at your own pace, build up the stamina you will need to “Give It” for the full 30!
