Big Sky Fitness is proud to be home to two of Alberta’s only Premier Sanctioned TRX training studios. We developed our TRX studios to better offer fitness programs and classes that are versatile in nature and which appeal to a variety of gym goers, all of whom may have different goals.

TRX stands for “total-body resistance exercise,” because that’s exactly what it does: It works your entire body. The benefit is that most TRX exercises work multiple muscles at one time, especially your core. If you want six-pack abs without having to do a single sit-up, it is time to consider TRX training.

Born in the Navy SEALs and since adopted by premier athletes across the globe, TRX is scientifically proven to improve total-body strength, stability, and even cardiovascular health. Since day one, TRX has empowered people from all backgrounds to be their best selves, never limited by constraints of time, place, or physical ability.

TRX Strong

This class is for everyone and so is TRX! Join us for this full body, strength- based workout using this more focused, functional approach to training with the TRX suspension system. Push, pull, lunge, plank, hinge and squat your way to improved functional fitness and sport specific performance goals. It doesn’t matter if you are starting strong and getting stronger or totally new to the journey of strength based training, our TRX STRONG class is for you! The TRX STRONG class will focus more on muscular strength training and will always have a strong emphasis on core engagement, strength and stabilization.

TRX Combo/HIIT

Shape up fast in our TRX COMBO class. This is a super-charged combo of strength and cardio training performed through interval style drills. Helping to improve balance, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health, TRX COMBO is the simplest and most effective way of getting to your varied fitness goals. Come and “hang” with your friends using the TRX for the push, pull, lunge, plank, hinge and squat then alternate these fundamental movements with a variety of other strength and cardio based exercises that help to build functional fitness.

Class Type: Muscle strength, power and endurance, interval based cardio training, core strength and stabilization


TRX Fit

This class is for everyone and so is TRX! Join us for this full body, strength- based workout using this more focused, functional approach to training with the TRX suspension system. Push, pull, lunge, plank, hinge and squat your way to improved functional fitness and sport specific performance goals. It doesn’t matter if you are starting strong and getting stronger or totally new to the journey of Strength based training, our TRX STRONG class is for you! The TRX FIT class will focus more on muscular and cardiovascular endurance training.
