A few tips about “working in”
When multiple people want to use a particular piece of equipment, it is common gym etiquette to work in with each other between sets. Here are a few tips on how to do this, so everyone gets what they need from their sets:
- If you want to work in with someone, wait for them to finish their set before asking if you can work in with them
- Try to be aware of the people around you. If you see someone waiting for the equipment you’re on, offer some eye contact and let them know they can work in when you're done with your set
- Be respectful of time, keep your sets efficient when you know others are waiting on that piece of equipment
- If you have extended time between sets, wipe down the equipment and leave it available for the next person
- Getting caught up on our phones has become more and more prevalent during our workouts as well. Be conscious this isn’t interfering with someone else's time on a machine
If we all stay aware and courteous, everyone can have a great (and efficient) time at the club! Thanks for being a valuable part of our community here at Big Sky.
